DR. EVERETT CASE

Dr. Case’s journey to dentistry was unconventional. He studied History in undergraduate school and planned to become an attorney. While working as a Legal Assistant in Washington D.C., he started Orthodontic treatment and began to change his smile with Invisalign®. The benefits of dentistry inspired Dr. Case to change course, and he decided he wanted to help others enjoy the same positive experience he had in his own oral health treatment.
Prior to dental school, Dr. Case developed an interest in the research side of dentistry. He worked as a clinical research associate at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. While there, he helped with studies related to TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders in the Orofacial Pain Clinic. He also volunteered with a clinic providing free medical and dental care in Brunswick County, NC, and also volunteered part time at a dental lab in Wilmington, NC.
Following UNC, Dr. Case was accepted into Tufts Dental School. While there, Dr. Case’s clinical work included excellent instruction involving the diverse dental patient population of the Boston metropolitan area.
While the academic training Dr. Case received at Columbia was invaluable, he wanted to follow with clinical training from some of the leading dentists in implant dentistry. Dr. Case enrolled with the Dominican Training Institute (DTI), which runs a program out of the Instituto Odontologico del Este (IODE) in the Dominican Republic.
While in the DTI program, Dr. Case’s professors had a combined 30 years of implant therapy and implant placement between them. Dr. Case was able to refine his skills in implant placement, bone grafts, membrane placement, and tissue flaps.
Dr. Case enjoys continuing to learn about many different aspects in the field of general dentistry. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Case enjoys fishing, watching football & basketball, gardening, spending time with his family, and going to the dog park with his two beagles.
